Steven Lenhard, MD

Meet Dr. Steven Lenhard, a physician with Premier Concierge Care of Atlanta

Dr. Steven Lenhard is a board-certified internal medicine primary care physician. Dr. Lenhard specializes in treating hypertension, diabetes and high cholesterol. He is experienced in offering thorough reviews of complex patients with multiple medical conditions. Dr. Lenhard performs wellness examinations at appropriate time intervals for the patient.

Dr. Lenhard's interest in science and teaching led him to pursue medicine. While attending medical school, he decided to focus on primary care and to be the "quarterback" of patients' healthcare. Thus, Dr. Lenhard likes to tell his patients that he knows "a little bit about every specialty". He prides himself on being an educator and adviser to his patients.

Dr. Lenhard has lived in Georgia his entire adult life attending the University of Georgia and Emory School of Medicine before completing his internal medicine residency at Emory.

Dr. Lenhard has worked his entire career in Cobb County treating patients in the community where he lives and raised his children. He worked for Wellstar and Piedmont for most of his career; thus, Dr. Lenhard has formed long relationships with the physicians around Cobb County.

Dr. Lenhard has been married to his high school sweetheart, Wendy, for thirty-four years. Wendy is a physical therapist. He has three adult children - two live in Atlanta and one in Ventura, California. There have always been dogs in the home, and the family currently includes ten-year-old Buddy and two-year-old Smiley. Dr. Lenhard is an avid golfer trying to keep a low handicap index. He enjoys physical fitness, tennis, pickleball, hiking, traveling and visiting national parks.

"Over the course of my career, I have enjoyed listening to my patients. I enjoy hearing about their families, their careers, and what they do for fun. I think I have honed my listening skills over the last three decades to help diagnose and treat medical conditions. A prior mentor at Emory told me, 'The patient will always tell you what is wrong. You just have to listen.' That has held true for me and my career. I look forward to hearing what you have to tell me".
